Nord Drivesystems, a provider of drive technology for mechanical and electrical solutions, has released an update to its NordCon software, which provides quick access to electronic drive systems, parameter management, drive programming, and diagnosis.
With the NordCon 3.0 release, the software provides a streamlined design for more efficient drive control and is available on Windows along with mobile app options for iOS and Android. It works for all Nord variable frequency drives, motor starters, and bus modules.

Commissioning an electronic drive system requires the setting of several parameters. This software enables numerous drives to be addressed simultaneously via the integrated interface, regardless of whether it is a single-axis or multi-axis solution. By default, its connection to the frequency drive is pre-configured, however, a connection via Ethernet can also be established.
In addition, the software’s project mode supports application engineers when commissioning a large number of electronic drive systems via an industrial Ethernet network.
NordCon provides a look at all application-relevant drive information in one location. It can be customized to showcase different parameters of the drive system for quick monitoring and fault diagnosis. The multi-window dashboard supports the import and export of application-specific dashboard settings between workers and the NordCon app. Nord Drivesystems also offers an after-sales service to increase drive system longevity.
