Nord enhances online customer portal for faster, more efficient ordering

Nord Drivesystems recently released an update to its online customer portal, MyNord, aimed at helping machine builders configure and order drive components more efficiently.

The addition includes a product configurator to help OEMs order gear units, geared motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and other drive components. Nord added that built-in support features and direct access to its team are available.

Product configurator and search tools

Product configurator and search tools now let users filter by output speed, torque, power, motor efficiency, housing design, and more. The portal provides real-time suggestions based on user specifications and regional requirements.

Additionally, users can generate formal quotes, download computer-aided design (CAD) files, pricing, and technical documents. Existing units can be accessed using a serial or order number, or by scanning a QR code to reference manuals, certificates, and spare parts lists.

Project management features

Nord’s project list helps teams stay organized across multiple projects, including complex or large-scale operations.

Users can sort by product type, track revisions, and convert configurations into quotes or orders. Custom project tags and naming options allow users to label projects with job names, material numbers, or customer identification.

Spare parts ordering and tracking

Nord’s parts shop allows users to identify and order exact spare parts using a gearbox serial number or QR code. Diagrams and material lists help locate the proper gears, seals, bearings, motors, and inverters (VFDs).

Real-time inventory from Nord’s warehouses in the United States is shown in the portal, and orders include free standard shipping with express shipping also available. Users can download their cart as a PDF with full pricing details. Order tracking provides updates on shipping, invoicing, and fulfillment.

Nord says the updates reflect its commitment to providing reliable tools that simplify every step from configuration to order.
