Morrison Container Handling Solutions has introduced its new Strip Label Applicator Machine, which can be integrated easily into existing production lines to apply strip labels onto liquor bottles and other rigid containers.
Strip labels, also known as tax stamps, are becoming more popular with brands for marketing purposes. Typically, these labels are applied manually which can result in inconsistent placement, increased labor costs, and product efficiency, all of which contribute to product and materials waste.
Morrison partnered with Packaging and Engineering Solutions to assist manufacturers in becoming more efficient in the strip label market. This machine can assist bottlers in integrating label automation without permanent changes to their production lines. Its key features include the following:
· Retrofitting or expanding: Two versions of the machine are available depending on customer need and speed. Lower-speed applications can be retrofitted to mount existing conveyors, and a standalone machine is available for applications that need to run faster.
· Continuous run technology: Operates continuously and does not require indexing.
· Versatility for multiple SKUs: Features in/out and up/down adjustable label heads, brushes, timing screws, and guides to accommodate various bottle shapes and sizes.
· Gentle application: Its soft brush system makes sure labels are properly secured.
· Container control: Contains Morrison’s timing screws to enable the system to maintain control and multiple points of contact on the bottle throughout the entire process.
· Scalable speeds: Available in standard modes for speeds ranging from 30 CPM to 200 CPM, additionally, custom solutions for higher throughput are available.
